Hospita Visit

Well, no Kaia just yet. I had a doctors appointment this morning but my doctor had an emergency so all her appointments were cancelled. BUT I was still able to go to the hospital for my NST testing. The testing went great. I had the best nurse in the hospital with me =] I really hope shes one of the nurses in the delivery room when Kaia finally comes. What we found out also is that I am having contractions about 12-10 minutes apart, but I havent felt them yet. So any day now I should start feeling them & the big show isnt far behind !!! WOO ! cannot WAIT to meet my little girl =]

39 weeks 6 days -- only 2 days to go !

So this morning I went to my weekly ob doctor appointment. I am still only dialated 1cm. She said the baby has dropped a little more and chances are she should be here this weekend. YAY ! but in case she decides to hold off on her big debut I will be going to see the doctor again on Monday & then heading to the hospital after for a NST test. If Kaia doesnt pass then I will be induced. If she DOES pass then the doctor is going to wait until the end of next week before inducing me..thats if she doesnt come on her own by then. Im really hoping she comes before St Pattys Day because I bought her a really cute outfit =) Yesterday I had an ultrasound to get the babys measurements & weight...she weighs 8lbs 7oz !! =O  talk about a big baby !!! It wont be easy pushing her out ! lol. But I cant wait until she gets here. I am so excited. Yesterday I bought her one of those pet pillow things. You know the ones that have velcro on them and when you un-velcro them they fold out into a little pillow?? Well the one I got her is a bunny =) Sooooo insanely CUTE ! I wasnt really a big fan of those, but when I saw the bunny I fell in love & just had to buy it for her. Sure she wont be using it for a while, but she'll love it when she does. OH ! shes got the hiccups right now ! lol i love feeling those..its so funny..but then she gets the big ones and she pushes down on my bladder..ugh..oh yea..there they are -.- me and my big mouth. Well, until next time ! Hopefully the next time I update I will be a momma =)

The Waiting Game

So these days my days usually consist of eating or sleeping.. what a life I lead. I'm am very impatiently waiting for miss Kaia to get here. I am seeing babies EVERYWHERE. It's making me really jealous lol. But I have exactly 2 weeks left so I'm trying to look at the bright side of everything =) I really want to get a pedicure next week and possibly even a manicure. And I really should get my roots done but my stylist takes HOURS to do my roots lol. I can always wait until later to get those done. Well I guess I should just enjoy this "me" time before miss Kaia gets here and takes up all my energy lol..not that shes not already doing that to me lol.

week 35 day 6

This morning I had my weekly check up at the ob doctor. I got some really good news. I am 30% thinned & chances are miss Kaia will be here in the next week or two =] I was so excited to hear that. As much as I love feeling her move around, I will be very happy once she is out & I have my body to myself again.

Dr. Appointment

So I had my check up this morning at 9:30am. I informed my doctor that I had noticed some leaking and she checked me and told me I am still "closed". But she still took a sample to make sure its no amnioic fluid. She also took another test sample..but I forgot exactly what its called. She measured my stomach and said I am measuring exactly where I should be =) That made me happy. We also heard Kaia's heartbeat and it was 141..good so far ! So tomorrow I will be 35 weeks. At 37 weeks I am considered "full term". I am now at the point where I am seeing my doctor every week instead of every 2 weeks. Its getting down to the crunch time !! In T-minus 5 weeks and 1 day (give or take a few days or weeks) I will be meeting Miss Kaia Jade McNaughton for the first time !! I am geting more and more exciting and antsy !! It feels like time is taking its sweet ole time. I just want my baby already. I want to experience all the mommy things..and yes, even the lack of sleep. =) I know I know... I wont be saying that once the baby gets here. But I really am looking forward to all the mommy & baby things I get to do. I wonder if I'll get peed on .... o.O ?? lol

My baby shower was at Marymount College in Palos Verdes, CA. My mom & grandma both hosted/planned it. It turned out absolutely amazing. It was everything I could have wanted & much much more. I had so much fun being with family& friends celebrating this very special time in my life. =)

Realization

It occurred to me when I woke up that it is the beginning of February. That means I only have 1 month and 11 days before I get to meet my little baby girl, Kaia Jade. I am so unbelievably excited and starting to get nervous. I understand everything that a baby entails.. but I really dont KNOW what to expect. Every baby is different in their personalities..I'm so curious to see what hers will be like. Will she be a quiet, shy girl..will she be like her momma..an outgoing girl ? Who really knows but God. I pray for her daily that she will just be a healthy, happy little baby. Thats all I can really ask for. At the moment she is kicking my upper belly. =) I LOVE feeling her move around. Its like nothing youve ever felt before. But I will def be happy once shes out of me. Well...just 38 days to go ! Let's see if she'll come a little earlier ;)
